A sales associate at ONE Mission Bay, Andrea Di Loreto, has lived all over the world, but there’s just something special about San Francisco that you can’t find anywhere else. With an extensive background in new construction and development, OMB was on her radar as the project to watch and she’s excited to join such a rock star team. Andrea shares what sets SF apart from other cities, the outdoor amenities residents can look forward to living at OMB, and sweet treats to beat the heat.

Question: What makes San Francisco different from the other cities you’ve resided?
Answer: I’m very lucky to have lived a pretty adventurous life. After graduating college, I spent a few years living abroad in Japan, Italy and Costa Rica. Here in the U.S., I’ve lived in Vail, Lake Tahoe, Sonoma, and, of course, San Francisco. San Francisco really combines the best of all of these locations—wonderful food, interesting culture, beautiful vistas (to name a few)—and, if it isn’t here, it’s easily accessible. A quick road trip will have you sipping wine in Napa, skiing at Squaw, hiking Mt. Tam, or exploring the Sonoma Coast. The city is also constantly innovating and evolving, making for an exciting place to live.

Question: What’s one thing residents can look forward to living at One Mission Bay?
Answer: The amazing amenity deck! It’s been very exciting to see this unique outdoor space come to life. With the exceptional weather we’ve had this summer, it’s easy to imagine our homeowners enjoying the pool, hot tub, fire pits and outdoor dining areas. The overall vibe is lush and resort-like. What a great place to relax at the end of the day!

Question: What are some of your favorite summer sweet treats in the city?
Answer:
•Smitten Ice Cream – Somehow watching my ice cream being made to order never gets old. Smitten uses high quality ingredients, and the rotating menu of flavors is always fresh and interesting.
•CREAM – CREAM really takes your ice cream to the next, highly caloric level. They have about a dozen different types of freshly baked cookies and endless toppings to help you create a crave-worthy ice cream sandwich.
•Any rum cocktail from the Smuggler’s Cove – Nothing says “summer” and “vacation” more than a tropical cocktail. The Smuggler’s Cove is perpetually packed, and with good reason. They have a seeming endless menu of rum cocktails that are refreshing and remind me of sitting on the beach in Anguilla.
•Macarons at Chantal Guillon – Really a treat all year round, but Chantal Guillon always feature seasonal items that capture the flavors of summer. The macarons are tasty and beautiful and make wonderful gifts.
•Boba Tea at Boba Guys – The weirdly addictive bubble tea at Boba Guys is top notch. I love that everything is made in house and you can customize the level of sweetness to your taste. Great afternoon pick-me-up!
